SUBSTRATENot sure how much you need? Work it out for your tank — enter the length and width, get litres and kilos.
ADA's nutrient-rich soil for planted aquariums, made from natural black soil and supplied with Amazonia Supplement to add at setup. It lowers pH and softens the water, which most aquarium plants and many shrimp prefer. A new soil releases ammonia for the first few weeks: change water often during that time and add livestock only once the tank has cycled. A 3 L bag covers a 30 cm tank; a 9 L bag covers a 60 cm tank.
