
Echinodorus amazonicus
A classic, lush background plant with long bright-green leaves. Grows large — best for tanks of 100 litres or more. A heavy root feeder; add root tabs every few weeks.

Plant in a nutrient-rich substrate and provide moderate to high lighting. It grows best in groups of 2-3 to fill the background. Feed with root tabs and occasional liquid fertiliser. Watch for leaf yellowing which can indicate low CO2 or nutrient deficiency.
